Developmental Friendship Mixer

I know this ache from both directions. Dinners with people who like you but show no real interest in your depths. Or a workshop night, even a retreat, where you get a few hours of true intimacy with a stranger and then everyone says goodbye and that's it. This afternoon is for the people who want the other thing: friends who are actually on the path with you, who track where you're going and get in it with you when it's hard.

It's two hours live, you in it the whole time, and it's plainly a networking event for people on a growth path. We start with connection, because nobody tells the truth about their edge to a room of strangers, so you get properly received by another person first. Then you say out loud where you're actually trying to grow, and you hear where everyone else is headed too. At the very least you get a real afternoon of connection. At the very most you meet someone whose journey mirrors yours and who becomes a friend for the long haul.
